Scope: Construction supervision of reflecting pool construction and landscaping at the St. Louis Arch grounds and restoration of the Old Court House dome.

Gateway Arch Reflecting Pool

Eero Saarinen’s design for the St. Louis Gateway Arch included reflecting pools and extensive landscaping designed by world-reknowned landscape arachitect, Richard Kiley. Although the arch structure was completed in 1965, the construction of the pools and installation of the landscaping did not occur until 1978-80.

Part of the 1978-80 project included restoring the dome of the Old Court House, site of the Dred Scott Decision in 1857.
